World Record
Sunday, June 14, 2009 at 1:22AM 6 guys up in Canada broke the Guinness World Record for Longest Time
Spent Continuously
Playing the Same Board Game. They set the record of 50 hours on January 18th 2009. While doing it they raised some money for Canadian Cancer Society. They played the Cities & Knights version of the game which does take longer and requires you to score 13 points to win. Cities & Knights actually feels like a different game the the base Settlers of Catan. You can read more about their achievement here.
Now would we ever try something like this? Since I can't imagine any of the wives saying, "You want to spend the entire weekend playing the same board game you play during the week? That's a wonderful idea!" The answer is probably no.
